Abstract

This paper explores the role of feminism in challenging traditional gender norms and redefining femininity, particularly focusing on how these shifts contribute to personal empowerment. It critically examines how feminist movements have reshaped societal expectations of women, offering alternative narratives to conventional notions of femininity that often limit women's roles and identities. The research investigates the impact of feminism on empowering individuals by promoting autonomy, equality, and self-expression. It further analyzes how feminist ideologies encourage women to reclaim and reconstruct their sense of self beyond patriarchal standards. By highlighting the intersectionality within feminist discourse, the paper also examines how race, class, and other social factors influence the way femininity is redefined in different cultural contexts. Ultimately, the study emphasizes the transformative power of feminism in fostering an inclusive, empowered, and more diverse understanding of womanhood.
